Taunton Shooting Wounds Man Sitting In His BMW
TAUNTON (CBS) -- Police are investigating a shooting in Taunton Saturday night that injured a man sitting in his BMW.
Officers responded to the Sunoco gas station on Broadway at 10:50 p.m. for a shooting report, and found a wounded 24-year-old Taunton man sitting in the driver's seat of a black BMW that had gun shots through the door and window. The victim told police that he was in the vehicle on Winter Street when he was shot several times from outside the car.
A male passenger in the car was not hurt and fled the area on foot. The wounded man was able to drive to the gas station and park near pumps, when someone else noticed him slumped over the wheel and called police.
The victim was taken to the hospital where he is in stable condition, police said. No arrests have been made yet and the incident is under investigation.
