Rich Keefe's Fantasy Brief: Week 12 QB Start 'Em, Sit 'Em

BOSTON (CBS) - We're at a critical juncture of the fantasy season with the regular season nearing its end and playoffs approaching, so getting the right advice is paramount.

Well Rich Keefe has you covered!

Wednesday night on 98.5 The Sports Hub, Keefe provided two quarterbacks to start and two quarterbacks to sit this week.

Start 'Em

Josh McCown @ Chicago

"I like Josh McCown against his former team. I like Josh McCown; I played him a lot last year. He got hurt, lost his job and now he's back. In his first game against Atlanta he threw for 301 yards and two touchdown passes. And then last week at Washington he threw for 288 yards, two touchdowns and no turnovers. He's been pretty good the last few games. I don't know if you noticed, but rookie wide receiver Mike Evans has been an absolute force and they're starting to chuck it around. Chicago has one of the worst defenses against the pass."

Brian Hoyer @ Atlanta

"I haven't liked him most of the season. In fact, he found himself on the 'Sit 'Em' list quite a few times. The only reason he's on here is because of Josh Gordon. Josh Gordon is back from suspension. Hoyer hasn't been a great fantasy quarterback this year, but the addition of Gordon should help. He's an intriguing guy."

Sit 'Em

Robert Griffin III @ San Francisco

"I've not been a fan of Robert Griffin, plus he's going to San Francisco. He just played Tampa Bay. The Tampa Bay Bucs -- bad defense, right? How does 207 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions taste at home against Tampa? Not good. He's a mess. San Francisco is probably not the best place to start playing better."

Alex Smith @ Oakland

"He's been a bad fantasy quarterback this season, and the reason I add him to this list is because he's playing Oakland and you might be thinking that's a good matchup for him. I still just have a feeling it's going to be a lot of Jamaal Charles, and then once you get up big they'll continue to run it. Smith just has not had many big fantasy games. Patriots fans remember Smith threw three touchdowns against them in Week 4. Do you know how many total touchdowns he's thrown since then? Four. Four touchdown passes in six games since. Don't play Alex Smith this week."
