Worker Injured In Gas Explosion Behind Danvers School

DANVERS (CBS) – One person was injured during an explosion at a Danvers school on Wednesday afternoon.

Essex Agricultural and Technical High School Superintendent Dan O'Connell said there was a gas explosion in a small building behind the school.

No students were injured during the explosion.

A vendor who was working in the area suffered non-life threatening injuries, O'Connell said.

School will open as scheduled on Thursday, according to the superintendent.
