BOSTON (CBS) -- Communities across the Commonwealth are marking Veterans Day on Tuesday with events honoring servicemen and women. Here are some of the highlights from the Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism.
Statewide
Friendly's restaurants are offering free meals all day Tuesday for veterans and active military members with ID.
Boston-area
Boston Veterans Day Parade, 1 p.m.
Begins at corner of Boylston and Charles Streets, heads down Tremont Street toward City Hall Plaza.
Annual Veterans Day Appreciation Dinner, 6 p.m.
131 East Central St., Natick
Veterans, active military members and family invited.
Zoo New England (Franklin Park and Stone Zoos)
Free admission all day for veterans
Boston Duck Tours, Nov. 10-14
Free rides for all war-and-peacetime military personnel
South
Veterans Day at Battleship Cove, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Free admission for all veterans, active duty, retired and reserve military personnel who show proof of service.
Abington Tri-Town Veterans Day Parade, 1p.m.
Starts at Abington Police Station, ends at Railroad Street in North Abington.

Vineyard Harbor Motel
Any available room free for any veteran with military ID on Veterans Day. Additional nights available for discounted price.

Worcester Art Museum
Free admission all day for veterans
Old Sturbridge Village
Free admission to all current military members and veterans, and six members of each soldier or veteran's family. Special program and demonstration highlighting American weapons history.
