Avry Sandler Named Director Of Content Development & Commercial Operations

BOSTON, MA - Tuesday, November 11, 2014 - Avry Sandler has been promoted to Director of Content Development and Commercial Operations for CBS Boston's WBZ-TV and myTV38 (WSBK-TV). Sandler's promotion was announced by Mark Lund, President and General Manager of CBS Boston's WBZ-TV and myTV38 (WSBK-TV).

In this role, Sandler, who has previously served as the duopoly's sales marketing manager, will be responsible for all commercial programming content. She will also coordinate the stations' sales production efforts, working with the stations' creative services department, and continue to lead the duopoly's sales marketing team.

I am confident that given Avry's track record of success, she will continue to develop unique and innovative content marketing solutions, and sponsorship opportunities that enable our clients to effectively reach their customers," said Lund.

Sandler has nearly 10 years of experience with the CBS Television Stations (CTS) group, having started with CTS as Promotions and Marketing Coordinator at WLWC-TV in Providence, RI when it was owned by CBS. She joined CBS Boston's WBZ-TV and myTV38 (WSBK-TV) in 2007 as Sales Marking Manager and developed the stations' traditional and non-traditional revenue opportunities, presented and executed cross-media advertising campaigns, and generated post-campaign reports.

Sandler is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, where she earned her B.A. in communications. She is also a graduate of the Women's Leadership Program presented by the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Simmons College School of Management. A native of Massachusetts, Sandler lives on the south shore.
