Man Accused Of Stealing T Victim's Phone To Be Arraigned

BOSTON (AP) — A Massachusetts man accused of stealing a woman's cellphone after she was struck and killed by a train is facing arraignment in a Boston courtroom.

Twenty-six-year-old Josue Gonzalez of Brockton is scheduled to be arraigned on a larceny charge Monday in Boston Municipal Court. Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority police say Gonzalez turned himself in and handed the victim's phone over to authorities Friday night.

Police still haven't identified the woman, who was struck by a train at Boston's Downtown Crossing subway station Thursday night. No foul play is suspected.

Police say subway surveillance video shows Gonzalez taking the woman's phone.

Gonzalez is free on personal recognizance. A woman who answered a phone listing for Gonzalez declined to comment Sunday. It's not clear if Gonzalez has a lawyer.
