Lawrence Girl Struck And Killed By Commuter Rail Train Identified

LAWRENCE (CBS) – A girl killed when she was struck by a Commuter Rail train on Friday in Lawrence was identified on Saturday.

The Essex District Attorney's office said on Saturday morning that Jenaira Fuentes, 13, of Lawrence was killed Friday just after 4 p.m. when she was hit by an outbound Western Route Haverhill Line train.

Fuentes and a friend were crossing the tracks when they cut between two cars of a stationary train and did not see the oncoming train, investigators said.
