Daily Talker: Postponing Halloween

There is mixed reaction today in the town of Westminster. Officials there have postponed the town's annual Halloween festivities, including trick-or-treating, due to concerns over the EEE virus. Officials say they could take no chances with a town-sponsored event being held when mosquitoes are most active. The virus killed a horse there two weeks ago. Trick-or-treating will be held mid day Saturday instead of Friday night, when mosquitoes are most active. All evening and night youth sports events and practices have also been rescheduled. While some say the safety of children is important, others feel the town is overreacting. What do you think? Should towns postpone Halloween activities due to concerns over the EEE virus?
