Rob Gronkowski Takes Over Recess At Dorchester School

BOSTON (CBS) -- For at least one day, Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski got to go back to recess.

The big kid was a big kid again on Tuesday, as Gronkowski got to hit the playground at the Martin Luther King, Jr. K-8 School in Dorchester for recess, throwing some touchdown passes in the process. He also taught the kids about leadership and the importance of living a healthy lifestyle.

"It was a blast," said Gronk. "It's always nice to get away a little bit; to help out the community and give back. It's great to come out and see all the third, fourth and fifth graders excited about the game last week, and excited about the game coming up this weekend.

"It takes your mind off of it a little bit too," Gronk said of the weekly grind that goes with playing in the NFL. "Just coming out and kind of being a big kid again."

While he said his touchdown-to-interception ratio was 20-2, Gronkowski said he'll stick with playing tight end on Sundays.

"I'm definitely sticking to tight end. Maybe I'll throw a little tight end pass after today," he joked.

As for Sunday's opponent, he knows the Patriots will have their hands full with the 6-1 Denver Broncos.

"They're probably the best team in the league right now," Gronk said of Denver. "They're super-hot and super good.  We have to be prepared and we have to be ready."
