Felger & Mazz: Greg Bedard's AFC Power Rankings

BOSTON (CBS) - Tuesday afternoon on 98.5 The Sports Hub, Mike Felger and Tony Massarotti went Around The League with Greg Bedard of TheMMQB.com, discussing some of the major topics and storylines in the NFL.

Here are the questions:

1. Greg, why do you hate Andrew Luck?

"The guy isn't great yet. I thin he's a tremendous quarterback. He makes probably a half dozen throws in every game where you're like, 'Holy mackerel! How did he do that?' But the reason he's not in the elite category is if you really looked at it, almost every big game he makes big mistakes," said Bedard. "I just think he makes the type of mistakes that Tony Romo or Colin Kaepernick [make] and people make a big deal out of it. But nobody says it about Andrew Luck."

2. Is Jerry Jones the problem with the Cowboys?

"Yes. It's too bad. He's finally gotten out of the way of molding this football team in terms of player acquisitions, yet still even in success he just can't get out of the way. Just go away and let Jason Garrett and everyone do their job!" said Bedard.

3. What would you do to increase the number of NFL trades/improve the hot stove?

"I wouldn't, because this is not baseball. It's football. It's hard to add pieces at the last minute. But if I had to, I'd just push it back to four weeks left in the season, where teams definitely know they're out of it and they're looking to get rid of cap space and stuff like that," said Bedard.

4. Give me the Greg Bedard AFC power rankings.

"Denver, New England, San Diego, Indy, Cincinnati. If they win on Sunday New England is the consensus no. 1."

5. Based on pure talent and pure skill set, not longevity: Name your top 3 tight ends in NFL history.

"Rob Gronkowski is no. 1 for me. When healthy -- pre-knee and elbow injuries -- back in 2011, he was on his way to becoming the best two-way tight end in NFL history as long as he stayed healthy. He hasn't, so we'll see what happens. No. 2 is Tony Gonzalez for me. Then John Mackie and Mike Ditka."

6. Who should -- not will -- the Jets hire to run their football operation?

"I would trade the pick, any pick, to the 49ers and get Jim Harbaugh and let him pick his own people," said Bedard.
