Rich Keefe's Fantasy Brief: Week 8 RB Start 'Em, Sit 'Em

BOSTON (CBS) -  Looking for advice on who to start and who to sit in Week 8? You've come to the right place!

Every weeknight on 98.5 The Sports Hub, The Adam Jones Show's Rich Keefe provides his expert advice in a segment he calls the Fantasy Brief.

On Thursday night after the Bruins game, Rich Keefe provided two running backs to start and two running backs to sit this week.

Start 'Em

Marshawn Lynch

"I don't typically do obvious names, but I'm gonna do an obvious name because he's had back-to-back bad weeks and people are probably starting to wonder about Marshawn Lynch. A couple weeks ago he had just 10 carries. Last week he had 18 carries but only 53 yards. His first two single-digit point games came in the last two weeks, so maybe you're wondering what's going on. I like him this week. Seattle is at Carolina, and the Panthers have been bad against running backs. The last two weeks they've given up two touchdowns and over 100 yards to opposing running backs in each of those games. I like Lynch this week. So put him back in your lineup if you're thinking about taking him out."

Jerick McKinnon

"How about rookie Jerick McKinnon? It wasn't a shock that he overtook Matt Asiata in the Vikings backfield. I didn't like him last week going up against that Buffalo defense, but he still had over 100 yards against that tough front. Throw in the fact that the Vikings are going to Tampa Bay and I like the matchup -- the Bucs can't stop a nosebleed. You gotta go with McKinnon there."

Sit 'Em

Anthony Dixon

"I said he was a pickup earlier this week -- I like him as a pickup. In fact I own him on one of my teams. But his first week as the 'starter' he's going to be splitting carries with Bryce Brown and you don't know exactly how they're gonna use him, and it's at the Jets. The Jets are bad, but one thing they can do is stop the run. If you're on the fence with him, I don't like Anthony Dixon this week. I would probably sit him out and see what happens."

Doug Martin

"I may be done with this guy altogether. I know he's been hurt, but the Muscle Hamster has been bad. The first week of the season he gets hurt. He had nine carries for nine yards. He's out for two weeks, then has just three straight games of 40 or 45 yards. They had a bye last week, playing Minnesota this week -- I wouldn't even use him. I don't like Doug Martin."
