Rich Keefe's Fantasy Brief: 5 Must-Add Players For Week 8

BOSTON (CBS) - It's hard to believe, but the fantasy football season is more than halfway over.

In most leagues, there's a 13-week regular season followed by the playoffs. Time is running out, and through trades and injury more and more players are becoming available.

Tuesday night on 98.5 The Sports Hub's The Adam Jones Show, Rich Keefe highlights five players that should be owned going forward.

But first, he provided three fantasy football public service announcements for Week 8:

1. The Giants and 49ers are on the bye.

2. The Thursday night game should be a good one. With the Chargers and Broncos going at it, there will be a lot of fantasy starters going in that one.

3. The London game has a very odd start time. 9:30amET on Sunday. So for Lions-Falcons you can't wait until noon to set your lineup.

Now onto the players, starting with a wide receiver.

1 -- Doug Baldwin -- Seattle Seahawks -- WR

"Percy Harvin gets traded to the Jets. They're going to need to throw to somebody. Harvin wasn't lighting up the scoreboard by any means, but you take that option away and you've got Doug Baldwin, who's been there a few years. He had 7 catches for 123 yards and a touchdown on Sunday. Already in game no. 1 without Percy Harvin and he puts up a great performance. Definitely worth being owned, and maybe even started going forward."

2 -- Denard Robinson -- Jacksonville Jaguars -- RB

"He broke out last week and had 127 yards and one touchdown. He's higher up on the depth chart than Storm Johnson. Toby Gerhart should be coming back soon, but Robinson is still worth being owned. Gerhart hasn't looked this good at all, so give Robinson a shot."

Anthony Dixon

3 & 4 -- Anthony Dixon & Bryce Brown -- Buffalo Bills -- RB

"C.J. Spiller is out for the season and Fred Jackson will miss at least a month, so that will elevate Anthony Dixon to the starting role. He's going to be the main guy. Bryce Brown is another Bills running back. You may remember him with Philadelphia. He showed some ability there to rip off some big runs, but also fumbled a lot. I think Dixon is the safer play. I would prioritize Dixon over Brown, but especially in deeper leagues I think Brown should be owned. I think they both have some value."

5 -- Tre Mason -- St. Louis Rams -- RB

"Another guy with a great week last week was the rookie for the Rams. They have Zac Stacy, who didn't do anything last week. They have Benny Cunningham, who has also been pretty good. But Tre Mason was a pretty high draft pick, especially for running backs. He had a great year last year at Auburn and was a Heisman finalist. Jeff Fisher has said his team has three good running backs, so it's hard to know what his role will be. But he should definitely be owned."
