Ambulance Crashes Into Utility Pole On Route 9 In Newton

NEWTON (CBS) – An ambulance with a patient inside crashed into a utility pole on Route 9 Tuesday afternoon.

The crash happened at the intersection of Dudley Road and Route 9 eastbound in Newton shortly after 3:00 p.m.

The patient was not injured and was transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital in another ambulance.

The driver suffered unknown injuries.

State Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
