Bruins Announce Kevan Miller Out Indefinitely With Separated Shoulder

BOSTON (CBS) - Boy, those Boston Bruins sure could use a veteran defenseman right about now.

General manager Peter Chiarelli announced on Monday afternoon that defenseman Kevan Miller will be out indefinitely after suffering a dislocated right shoulder against Buffalo Saturday night.

The 26-year-old blueliner was injured in the first period after dropping the gloves with the Sabres' Nicolas Deslauriers. He did not return to the game.

With Miller out for the foreseeable future, Matt Bartkowski -- a healthy scratch during the team's recent three-game road trip -- will likely see an uptick in minutes.

According to the team website, Bartkowski is expected to slot into the lineup on Tuesday night when the B's host San Jose.
