CBS Unveils New Subscription Internet Streaming Service

BOSTON (CBS) - CBS is changing the choices you have to watch your favorite shows, at home or now on a mobile device.

It's called CBS All Access, an internet streaming service that allows you to watch live CBS Television programming, plus countless episodes from current and past shows on demand.

Viewers can do all of this without having to pay for a bundle of channels on cable or on satellite.

The new CBS digital service will cost subscribers $5.99 a month.

It's the first time a traditional network is providing a near live feed of its local affiliates' programming over the internet.

Subscribers to CBS All Access will be able to watch news and other shows live, in progress, on local CBS stations in 14 of the largest markets around the country, including WBZ-TV, and soon more affiliates will join the mix.

Current prime time shows will be available on one day delay. However, NFL games are not included.

The service also offers full, past seasons of current series including "The Good Wife" and "Blue Bloods," and more than 5,000 episodes of CBS classics like "Dallas" and "All in the Family."

All the programming can be viewed while viewers are sitting in their living room, or on the go.

It's a la carte TV viewing, allowing subscribers to watch what they want, when and where they want to watch it.
