Keefe's Fantasy Brief: Cruz Injury Elevates Odell Beckham, Rueben Randle & Larry Donnell

BOSTON (CBS) - So sorry if you played Joe Flacco this past week. He had himself quite the day, throwing for five touchdowns in the first half against Tampa Bay.

98.5 The Sports Hub's Rich Keefe breaks down everyone's big week, as well as some key injuries and their ripple effect.

The Best Of The Best:

"In leagues where it's six points for a passing touchdown, the top point scorers were Flacco, Tom Brady, Cam Newton, Derek Carr and Aaron Rodgers to round out the top five. T.Y. Hilton had that great game on Thursday night. Matt Forte was the best running back this week. Anybody against Atlanta you're gonna want to start. The Atlanta Falcons have been horrible, or great depending how you look at it, against opposing running backs."

Some Lesser Known Players With Big Sundays:

"Andre Holmes of the Oakland Raiders was part of the reason why Derek Carr had such a great week. He had 121 yards and two touchdowns yesterday. He's available in just about every league. Brandon LaFell is proving that a couple weeks ago was not a fluke. He only had six targets, but had four catches for 97 yards and two touchdowns. He was very good as well. Once you found out about A.J. Green's injury, Mohamed Sanu's value certainly went up. He had 10 catches for 120 yards and a touchdown. He was targeted 14 times. He had a monster performance in PPR leagues."

Duds Of The Week:

"Percy Harvin and C.J. Spiller both ended up with -0.1 points, so they were taking away from what they were doing. Doug Martin was bad. The Bucs are on a bye this week also. Eddie Lacy was not good. Jeremy Maclin too. The Eagles were good, but it wasn't a Maclin game."

A Key Injury And Possible Ripple Effect:

"Another guy who's struggled the last couple of weeks is Giants tight end Larry Donnell, but there could be a light at the end of the tunnel. He was shut out last week, and this week he wasn't a whole lot better. But one of the key injuries from this week was Victor Cruz, who is done for the season with the Giants. That certainly elevates Odell Beckham, Reuben Randle and maybe Donnell gets back in the mix. It seemed like there was too many guys there for him to make an impact. He had a couple of great games earlier this year, so I wouldn't give up on him especially with Cruz out now."
