Game Of Jones: Would Tom Brady Rather Have A Good Lineman Or Good Receiver?
BOSTON (CBS) - Thursday night means it's time for some Role Play on The Adam Jones Show's Game Of Jones!
Here are the questions:
- You are Bruins president Cam Neely. Do you want Ryan Spooner or Gregory Campbell to be the center on the fourth line?
Jones as Neely: "Spooner. Of course. After losing to Montreal we talked about getting younger and quicker and more skilled on the fourth line. We want to replace Shawn Thornton and Gregory Campbell with more speed, but right now the coach is a little resistant to that. We're gonna have to push him in the right direction. We want more speed and youth. Our head coach is a little behind the times."
- You are Derek Jeter. What are your plans after baseball?
Jones as Jeter: "I think I'm gonna get into coaching. I don't necessarily want to be a manager or a bench coach, but one of those jobs where I'm sort of a glorified assistant, like a Pedro Martinez or Jason Varitek. The assistant to the assistant. It'll give me plenty of time to hang out in Florida and chase some tail. That keeps me in the game of baseball, I'll get a glorified title and I can continue to woo the ladies."
- You are Tom Brady. Would you rather add a really good lineman or a really good wide receiver to the team?
Jones as Brady: "I've made receivers better throughout the course of my career. I can't make offensive lineman better. I can throw it, but I can't block for myself. What I need is offensive line help. I don't know where it's coming from, hopefully our coach who no one likes can figure it out."
- You are Patriots OL coach Dave DeGuglielmo. How's the relationship with your guys?
Jones as DeGuglielmo: "It's terrible. Awful. It's not easy to take over for a legend. There's not a lot of great offensive line coaches, and unfortunately I have the burden of taking over for one in Dante Scarnecchia. The guys just aren't responding to my coaching right now. I blame them more for it than I do myself. At some point they need to get on the same page."
- You are South Park creator Trey Parker. You just had a great season premiere taking the NFL to task. What's next up your sleeve?
Jones as Parker: "As you know we're very topical. Barring anything big happening in the next week, I think we're gonna go with the missing Malaysian airline and all the hysteria around that."
