Daily Talker: Tracking People Who Text While Driving

A company is developing a device---similar to a radar gun---that would help police catch drivers who are texting behind the wheel.  The device would analyze frequencies that emit from a vehicle.  A text message and phone call emit different frequencies that can be distinguished by the device.  The device is still being worked on and is not in production.  The technology has also raised questions about privacy.  Do you think a device that could catch texting drivers would discourage people from texting behind the wheel?
