Teen Struck By Commuter Train In Westwood

WESTWOOD (CBS) – A teenager is badly injured after he was hit by a commuter rail train in Westwood Monday afternoon.

The 14-year-old boy was struck just west of Islington Station on the Franklin Line. He suffered serious injuries and was med-flighted to nearby hospital.

The MBTA says the teen was trespassing on the tracks at the time.

Train service was delayed while police investigated.
