Sudbury Teen Arrested For Attempted Abduction Of 2 Boys

SUDBURY (CBS) – A 17-year-old boy was arrested Wednesday afternoon for allegedly sexually enticing and trying to kidnap two 12-year-old boys in Sudbury.

Police received a 911 call at about 3:30 p.m. reporting the attempted abduction of the two boys by a suspect who fled in a vehicle. The caller told police that the suspect tried to get the boys to enter his vehicle.

The victims were not injured.

Police got a good description of the suspect from the caller and found him a short time later.

A search of the suspect's vehicle "revealed evidence that supported the charges of enticement" according to police.

The 17-year-old Sudbury boy was arrested and charged with two counts of Enticement of a Child Under 16.

"This was a disturbing situation, involving two young children. We are fortunate that they were able to get away and seek the help of an adult, which ultimately led to the arrest of this suspect today," Sudbury Police Chief Scott Nix said. "I commend these boys for their bravery and our officers for quickly finding this
dangerous suspect."

The suspect's name will not be released because of his age.
