Weapons, ‘Mass Murder Book’ Found In Plymouth Home After Child Porn Arrest

View Comments

PLYMOUTH (CBS) – Investigators say they made a chilling discovery in a home in Plymouth during a child pornography raid.

Police and federal agents searched 24-year-old Brendan Kessler’s home on Rocky Pond Road for hours Tuesday as part of an internet sting.

They pulled 87 video files from his computer, according to authorities, all showing graphic child pornography.

According to court documents, FBI agents also found three handguns, three shotguns, eight rifles, ammunition, fireworks, detonator cords, remote firing switches and a handwritten journal titled “Mass Murder Book.”

The book allegedly contained “detailed entries describing the steps to be taken in an assault.”

The FBI is not saying if Kessler owned the weapons and he is not facing any charges connected to them at this point in the investigation.

“It’s kind of terrifying,” one of Kessler’s neighbors told WBZ-TV.  “I don’t really know how to react, to be honest.  It’s shocking.”

Most on the remote Plymouth street said they did not know Kessler.

He was arrested and charged with trading and possessing child pornography online.

He is due back in court on Thursday.

If convicted, Kessler faces a minimum mandatory of five years in prison on the child porn distribution charge and up to 10 years on the possession charge.
