Warmth & Humidity On The Way

Where did the summer go? Oh wait, it's still here! Although it may be the "unofficial" end to the season on Labor Day, mid-summer warmth and humidity will be in place for several days.  It felt more like Autumn this morning though with cool, dry air in place.

Temps are on the rebound and this afternoon we'll warm to seasonable levels with highs generally 75 to 80 under a blend of sun and clouds.  Humidity will be on the increase tonight as high pressure slides east over the ocean and you'll feel the difference tomorrow! Our temperatures will respond as well, soaring well into the 80s. If you have any outdoor plans, you'll stay dry during the day – but will have to watch the sky during the evening. An approaching front will spark scattered storms, some of which could contain locally heavy downpours and brief gusty wind.

The only issue with Labor Day is the fact that this front kind of stalls and washes out over us. In turn, we'll remain hot and humid with a number of clouds and the threat for a pop-up shower/storm. Not everyone will see one on Monday, but the risk is there.  If you're planning cookouts etc. for Labor Day, I would have a backup plan in mind incase a storm heads your way.

I'll be in later this evening to update the forecast as necessary and Barry Burbank will be with you tomorrow!

Have a wonderful day :)
