Gresh & Zo's 2014 NFL Summer School: Seattle Seahawks

BOSTON (CBS) - It's not your typical classroom. They're not your typical teachers. It's where you go after failing all year. It's Gresh and Zo's NFL Summer School on 98.5 The Sports Hub!

The summer school rolls on and heads to the Pacific Northwest, where Andy Gresh and Scott Zolak break down and preview the 2014 Seattle Seahawks.

Taking Attendance:

The Seahawks gave out some big money deals after their Super Bowl victory. Defensive end Michael Bennett, safety Earl Thomas and cornerback Richard Sherman all got paid in the offseason. They did let wide receiver Golden Tate go in free agency. The Hawks were also fined for too much contact in preseason practices.

Gresh: "I'm picking them to win the division. My question is whether there's elite football left in their defense. I think there is. We've seen it here. When you win it, it's really hard to do it again. You have to fight Super Bowl hangover, guys getting money and players looking to get paid. It's a whole different set of problems for teams trying to repeat, but I think they have a good core to stay competitive again, obviously."

Zo: "I think they have a good defensive core again. Health is going to be their biggest enemy. They played an extra month of football, they had to play the Super Bowl and get set and re-adjust. It's hard to repeat there's no doubt about it, but they have a chance. They really do."

Pop Quiz:

Where do you rank Pete Carroll among NFL head coaches?

Gresh: "Pete is in the top five for me."

Zo: "I'll put him top three, top four."

Fantasy 101:

What's the highest pick you'd use to draft Marshawn Lynch?

Gresh: "I would look second or third round. Late second round."

Would you draft Russell Wilson as your starting fantasy quarterback?

Gresh: "I would not as a starter. I would as my backup."

Zo: "No I would not."

Final Grade:

Last year's Seahawks went 13-3.  Year before that? 11-5. Vegas has set the over/under at 11.5 wins. Where do they finish and do they make the playoffs?

Gresh: "They'll go over. 12 wins. I don't know if they'll get the no. 1 seed but they'll obviously make the playoffs."

Zo: "Hit me. 12-4. They win the NFC West and San Francisco is in as the wild card. I think Seattle maxes out as 12."
