Buy or Sell: Wes Welker Should Retire

BOSTON (CBS) - It was a "Buy or Sell" Monday on The Adam Jones Show's Game Of Jones.

Here are the topics that Rich Keefe threw Jones' way:

Buy or Sell: Wes Welker should retire.

"Should -- I buy it," said Jones. "You don't want to see Welker being in that group of players [who suffer from concussion symptoms after their playing days]. Should he (retire)? The answer is absolutely yes."

Buy or Sell: The Pats decision to cut Tommy Kelly.

"I sell it. I was surprised by it and I think they have issues on that defensive line, especially on the interior," said Jones.

Buy or Sell: It being a good idea to spend $72.5 million on Rusney Castillo.

"It's a great idea; I buy it," said Jones. "You're talking about all these players coming over from Cuba, who have not just been good players but steals on their contract. 72 is a lot to fork over for a guy who has never played here, but the track record is pretty good with those Cuban players: Cespedes, Puig, Jose Abreu. I know there have been misses if you want to go back, but recently there's been a pretty good track record.

"It's a great signing for the Red Sox and if nothing else, they've been addressing all their needs for next year's team early, which means they can focus on pitching in the offseason. I think all of that is great news."

Buy or Sell: Mason Plumlee making Team USA.

"I sell the idea that he's on the team. They kept a lot of bigs," said Jones. "Who would you rather have: Damian Lillard or Plumlee? Why isn't Lillard on the team -- I don't get that. I don't like Gordon Hayward but I would rather have him than Plumlee. Plumlee stinks!"

Buy or Sell: Beyonce is the best female performer going.

"I think I'm going to buy it," said Jones. "What's really the competition? Rihanna? I like Beyonce better than all of that."
