Car Strikes Man In Lowell Causing Serious Injuries
LOWELL (CBS) – An 80-year-old man was seriously injured Tuesday morning when a car struck him as he was crossing a street.
The victim was crossing Rogers Street at Park Avenue at around 7:30 a.m., according to WBZ NewsRadio 1030. He was taken to Lowell General Hospital with serious injuries and later airlifted to a Boston hospital.
The driver of the car stopped at the scene. No charges have been filed.
Solar glare played a role in the incident.
