Wednesday’s Child: 12-Year-Old Joseph
BOSTON (CBS) – Joseph is an active and curious 12-year-old Latino boy who is described as very sweet, easy-going and interested in many different activities.
He enjoys being outside and loves going out for frozen yogurt and gelato treats. Recently, Joseph started playing in his school band and hopes to learn to play the drums.
Joseph will be entering the sixth grade where he is doing well, and does not require academic supports. He is also thriving in his current foster home and has enjoyed having a foster mom and dad, as well as a foster brother. He also has created strong relationships with extended foster family members. Joseph is very respectful in his foster home.
Legally free for adoption, Joseph would do best in a single-parent home, or a two-parent family with a mom and dad. Joseph needs a structured but nurturing home in order to be able to succeed. He would like a family that does fun activities with him. Joseph is bonded with his older sister and enjoys visiting with his sisters four times a year. Two of these visits will also include his birth mother.
To learn more about Joseph, and about adoption from foster care, call the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE) at 617-54-ADOPT (617-542-3678) or visit www.MAREinc.org. The sooner you call, the sooner a waiting child will have “a permanent place to call HOME.”
