NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (AP) — A New Bedford nightclub has been ordered shut after seven people were shot outside the building.
None of the injuries in the Saturday morning shootings were life-threatening.
Police say two victims were shot, one in the elbow and one in the lower leg. Officers later learned that five others had gone to a local hospital on their own, each suffering from injuries to their lower legs.
Police say the shootings began as a fight when a patron of the nightclub may have become angry when he found a drink on his vehicle and knocked it off, causing it to hit someone else.
