WBZ WaterCooler: Dispatch Highlights Nantucket Music Fest

NANTUCKET (CBS) - This weekend, Nantucket Music Festival, a two-day celebration, will be held benefiting the Celebrate Music Foundation.

Cynthia Dareshori organizes the festival. She says she is extremely excited with all the bands her team was able to book for this event. And there are several Massachusetts connections.

The highlight of the weekend will come on Saturday afternoon. Dareshori and her team were able to land Dispatch.

"Last time Dispatch played in Boston, they sold out the Boston Garden. They added a second show – sold out. They added a third day – sold out. So they are the biggest band no one's ever heard of."

"We have Guster, another Massachusetts legendary band. They met at MIT years ago and they are amazing," said Dareshori.

Ayla Brown will take the stage as well.

The festival is not just for the grown-ups.

"Kids 12 years old and under are free. We have a Ferris wheel and kids' activities such as hula hoops and face painting. We're going to make the whole family happy," Dareshori told WBZ.
