Charges Filed In Revere Firefighter's Stolen Wallet Case
REVERE (CBS) – Police have charged a 32-year-old woman on charges she stole from a firefighter and the department's firehouse while it was responding to a fire.
Aleesha Mceachern faces the following charges: larceny from a building, two counts of identity fraud, two counts of credit card fraud under $250 and attempt to commit a crime (credit card fraud over $250, identity fraud and credit card fraud under $250).
She will be arraigned on Monday in Chelsea District Court.
Mceachern allegedly went into the Revere Fire Department Central Station on July 7 when firefighters were out battling a fire. She allegedly stole a firefighter's wallet. The thief ran up hundreds in purchases at local stores.
The firefighters, Jamie Nadworny, eventually got his wallet back when a DPW worker in Everett found it. But the cash and the stolen credit were gone.
