Patriots Blog: Brady Set To Talk After First Day Of Practice

FOXBORO (CBS) -- The first day of practice at Patriots training camp has arrived, and here are a few things we should be paying attention to as the team takes the field.

First off, the news that Gronk has been medically cleared and ready to go means all eyes will be on No. 87. Gronkowski missed camp last year, so this will be the first time in a couple of years that the Pats get a fresh start with him.

Gronk's presence is huge, because every time I've seen Aaron Dobson in the off-season he's been wearing a boot. Where he is in his recovery and the overall progress of the second-year receivers is a huge storyline this summer.

On the other side of the ball, the defense should be better. We'll have to keep an eye on Vince Wilfork, Jerod Mayo and Tommy Kelly as they each return from injury. Kelly is starting camp on the PUP, so we'll see if he can return before the regular season gets underway.

Another set of eyes will be on Darrelle Revis. He gives the Pats a legitimate star in their defensive secondary. How he's used by Bill Belichick and how he fits in will be interesting.

As for today's practice, it has been moved back to 9:45 a.m. due to a possible threat of storms. If you plan on attending, gates will still open at 8:45 a.m. for fans.

Coach Belichick will now talk to the media just before the practice session at 9:15 a.m., and Tom Brady, Jerod Mayo and Vince Wilfork will chat with us after practice.
