Nice Couple of Days…

By Todd Gutner WBZ-TV

The high yesterday in Boston was 92…just the 4th time this year that Logan has reached 90.  There won’t be a 5th today…a coldfront has slipped through and temps have fallen and leveled off in the 70s and the humidity will ease throughout the afternoon. While the next couple of days look great with low humidity and lots of sunshine, a potentially stormy pattern will emerge late in the weekend and will likely last several days into next week.  A similar pattern evolved last week and many communities recieved drenching downpours…we even had a few severe thunderstorms with damaging wind gusts prompting tornado warnings.  So enjoy Friday and Saturday as we’ll be dodging raindrops for several days next week.

A digging trough into the Great Lakes and shove very muggy air back into New England by the end of the weekend. The advancing trough and surface coldfront will provide ample lift and instability for numerous showers and storms early next week.
