Brockton Man Drowns In Plymouth

PLYMOUTH (CBS) - Divers on Sunday recovered the body of a 19-year-old Brockton man from a lake at the Ellis Haven Campground, according to authorities.

The victim was identified as Jared Marshall, according to the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office.

Police received a call at 5:12 p.m. for the incident and the victim's body was recovered 45 minutes later. Marshall, whom authorities said was a good swimmer, swam out to gt a life preserver or raft, went underwater and never surfaced.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the incident. Marshall's family was at the campground during the incident.
