We had a few days in the trenches with scattered severe weather, downed trees, flash flooding, and many towns seeing over 3″ of rainfall (about a month’s worth) in 24 hours. While there’s still some clean-up to be done, it was also pretty tough to be down as the skies parted and an epic sunset took over. The combination of a still tropical environment (dew points upper 60s/70s), clouds still hanging around at multiple layers of the atmosphere, and just enough clearing made for an incredible show across much of the East Coast. Most of these are from Boston, but there are a couple in the NYC area too. Had to share – we deserve it!
