Dorchester Man Accused Of Upskirting At Downtown Crossing MBTA Station

BOSTON (CBS) - A 33-year-old Dorchester man was arrested on Thursday for allegedly taking pictures up a woman's skirt while on an MBTA escalator.

The incident happened at 9:12 a.m. when a witness to the incident told officers that she saw Anwar Jaffar holding his cell phone under the skirt of a woman in front of him while the pair was on an escalator at the Downtown Crossing station, according to MBTA police.

The witness clearly saw the light of the phone screen and the victim's image, according to police. Jaffar allegedly followed the victim off the escalator after putting his phone away, and began taping the victim again as she climbed stairs.

Officers later located Jaffar and arrested him. He was expected to be arraigned on Thursday.
