BOSTON (CBS) – Strong thunderstorms caused damage across northern Massachusetts Thursday afternoon.

Several communities in the Merrimack Valley were hit hard causing flooding and downed trees.

Methuen, North Andover and Lawrence were especially hard hit.

A Tornado Warning was also issued in Southern New Hampshire Thursday.

Much of Greater Boston is under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 10 p.m.
