Pedestrian Killed In Back Bay Car Accident On Beacon Street

BOSTON (CBS) – Two pedestrians were struck by a car and one of them was killed Saturday night near the intersection of Beacon and Fairfield streets in the Back Bay, Boston police said.

The accident happened at about 9:20 p.m. and involved two vehicles.

The other pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to Brigham and Women's Hospital.

Two people in the car had non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

No further information was available on the circumstances of the accident.

Police are investigating.
