BOSTON (CBS) – Dillon Buss is as energetic and enthusiastic as they come, which works out well for this skateboarder and performance artist.

This weekend, he and his friends will set up an obstacle course at The Children’s Museum that they’ll run through first and then invite participation from the kids.

“There’s one (move) that launches you up into the air. There’s another one that you can grind on and do maneuvers on,” he told WBZ NewsRadio 1030.

So where does the art come in?

They’re going to paint on each other’s clothes while they’re skateboarding. He calls it skateboarding with “just a shot of art.”

“Skateboarding is a spontaneous act unto itself,” he said.

Buss has been skateboarding since he was three years old.

“Nothing better than getting exercise, being creative and having fun with kids, letting kids see possibilities,” he said.

Dillon said he loves what he does and he’d like to inspire young children to try something new. He’d also like to show people what his favorite sport and skill can be.

“In Boston, skateboarding has sort of a negative connotation and what we’re really trying to do is put a positive light on it,” he said.

You can see the event Sunday from 2-to-5 p.m. at The Children’s Museum.
