BOSTON (CBS) – It was an over/under Tuesday on The Adam Jones Show’s “Game of Jones.”
In this edition, Jones and Rich Keefe go Over/Under with the following topics:
Number of goals by Clint Dempsey the rest of the World Cup: 1.5
“Under. I’m still not sold the US gets out of the group, so Dempsey would have to record two goals between Portugal and Germany. It’s more of a Team USA thing than a Clint Dempsey thing. If I thought the US would get out of the group and into the knockout rounds maybe I’d take the over, but factor in the broken nose and having to go up in competition, I’ll take the under,” said Jones.
Number of Red Sox wins this season: 81
“I’m going to say over. I don’t think they’ll be a playoff team. They’ll have to start leapfrogging teams left and right in the American League. But they should be better than .500 with the talent on this roster,” said Jones.
Number of first round picks used by the Celtics: 1.5
“I will say under. I don’t know that they trade picks no. 6 and no. 17, but I do think they’ll get Kevin Love. If that’s the case you’re going to have to give up one of those picks, if not both of those picks,” said Jones.
Number of games played for Rob Gronkowski in 2014: 10
“I think 10 is about the right number. I’ll say under though. I think he’ll have a nice year, but I’m borderline convinced he’ll start the year on the physically unable to perform list. I think that’s the smart thing to do with him at this point in time. Ten sounds about right, but given his injury track record I’ll say less than ten games,” said Jones.
Number of TV shows you currently watch on a weekly basis: 3.5
“It’s gotta be under. I’m watching The Challenge on MTV — that’s a must-DVR. I have a bunch of Louie’s on the DVR right now. It hasn’t been a good season so I haven’t been that motivated to watch it. The only other thing I think is on their right now is Mountain Men. Have you seen that show? It’s pretty solid. It’s a nice show. I watch other things year round, but those are the only three things right now. So I’ll say under,” said Jones.
