Bobcat Spotted In Sharon

SHARON (CBS) -- Police say they believe a bobcat was seen on Billings Street, Saturday morning.

Police put out the warning to residents on their Facebook page.

According to police, bobcats are not often responsible for killing domestic animals, but occasionally are responsible for losses of poultry, lambs, small goats, pigs, and house cats. Mostly, bobcats tend to use wild animals as prey items.

Police are reminding residents not to feed wildlife, prevent buildup of food in bird feeders, keep dogs and cats indoors from dusk to dawn and feed your pets inside.
