2 People Stabbed At Wonderland MBTA Station

REVERE (CBS) - Two people were stabbed at the Wonderland MBTA station Friday night.

Around 9:30 p.m., Transit police officers say a 49-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman were stabbed after a verbal altercation that escalated.

Officers are looking at what exactly sparked the fight, but they say the victims did not know the man who attacked them.

The alleged attacker, identified only as a 28-year-old Boston man, was arrested and charged with Assault with Intent to Murder and Assault & Battery with a Dangerous Weapon.

Both victims were transported to Massachusetts General Hospital for treatment.

The man who was stabbed suffered serious injuries.

The woman's injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.
