Toucher & Rich: Adolfo Does The Spelling Bee

BOSTON (CBS) - The 2014 Scripps National Spelling Bee was held Thursday night, a competition in which school-aged children from all over the country and around the world take part in a mental battle to determine the best speller of the bunch.

Adolfo fancies himself as an intellectual and a philosopher of sorts. He studies the martial arts, reads chapters of various books then puts them down for good -- in other words he's a pretty well rounded individual.

Well Toucher and Rich decided to put Adolfo to the test Friday morning to see how he'd fare in a spelling bee. Not your typical spelling bee where words like corpsbruder, antegropelos and feulletion are commonplace.

Rather, T&R asked Adolfo to spell words he uses in his everyday life that he should undoubtedly know the correct spelling of.

How do you think he did?

Here are the words:

- Kierkegaardian

- Plural

- Existentialism

- Philosophical

- Metaphysical

- Jeet kune do
