Red Sox Lineup In Atlanta: Holt Leading Off, Ortiz At First

BOSTON (CBS) -- The Red Sox look to snap a 10-game losing streak Monday afternoon as they open a two-game set against the Braves in Atlanta.

Coming off a frustrating three-game sweep by the Rays in St. Petersburg, Boston sends Clay Buchholz to the mound in their first road interleague series of the season.

With no designated hitter, and first baseman Mike Napoli on the disabled list with a sprained finger, David Ortiz will handle duties at first and bat clean-up. Third baseman Brock Holt will leadoff for the fourth straight game, followed by shortstop Xander Bogaerts and second baseman Dustin Pedroia in the order.

Here is the full Boston lineup for Monday's game in Atlanta:

1. Brock Holt, 3B
2. Xander Bogaerts, SS
3. Dustin Pedroia, 2B
4. David Ortiz, 1B
5. A.J. Pierzynski, C
6. Jonny Gomes, RF
7. Grady Sizemore, LF
8. Jackie Bradley Jr., CF
9. Clay Buchholz, RHP

Buchholz is 1-for-3 at the plate in four career plate appearances, with his lone hit coming back in 2010. He is just 2-4 with a 6.32 ERA in nine starts this season.

The Braves will send Erving Santana (4-2, 3.42 ERA) to the mound.

Prior to Monday's game Boston recalled first baseman/catcher Ryan Lavarnway from Pawtucket, optioning reliever Alex Wilson back to Triple-A. Wilson pitched a scoreless inning in Sunday's 8-5 loss to the Rays -- his only major league appearance this season.

In 44 games for the PawSox, Lavarnway batted .265 (43-for-162) with two home runs, seven doubles and 11 RBIs.

The Red Sox will wear special military jerseys on Monday in honor of Memorial Day:
