Wednesday's Child: Erika And Jessianya

BOSTON (CBS) --- Erika and Jessianya are 10 and 12-year-old sisters hoping to be reunited in an adoptive family.

Erika is of Hispanic and African American descent, and Jessianya is of Hispanic and West African descent. Both attend regular classrooms and are on target academically. Erika is in the fourth grade, and Jessianya is in the sixth grade.

Both girls are outgoing, talkative, eager to please and very sweet. Erika is a talented artist who loves to draw. When she grows up, Erika would like to be a fashion designer. She is already practicing drawing her own designs. She is also an avid reader. Jessianya also loves to read, especially the Goose Bumps series. She enjoys singing, dancing and cooking. When she is older, Jessianya states that she wants to work with children. Both girls attend weekly therapy to address their trauma history, which will need to continue. There are no persistent behavioral issues with either girl. Both girls have allergies; Erika to wheat and dairy products.

Legally free for adoption, Erika and Jessianya would do well in almost any family constellation as only children or with older children who won't be competing for a lot of attention. They would enjoy being in an active family, and Jessianya would especially enjoy having a nurturing mom to have special time together. They both get along very well with their present foster families and fit in well with their foster families' extended members. They will need a family that will help them stay connected with their younger sister and their grandmother.
