Coast Guard: No Sign Yet Of British Yacht Crew Missing Off Mass.

BOSTON (AP) — The U.S. Coast Guard says it has found no sign of a British yacht that apparently capsized in the Atlantic Ocean last week but continues its search about 1,000 miles east of Massachusetts.

Speaking outside the Coast Guard's Boston office, Capt. Anthony Popiel said Wednesday the search for the yacht and its four sailors has covered more than 9,000 square miles.

The search resumed Tuesday at the request of the British government. Popiel said it search will continue into Thursday, at least.

He says the team includes American, British and Canadian vessels and aircraft and will be joined by a Coast Guard cutter and a U.S. Navy warship.

Popiel says the searchers are "saturating a very large and remote" part of the Atlantic in what he called a large-scale, active and dynamic effort.
