5K Held In Honor Of Murdered Danvers High Teacher

ANDOVER (CBS) --- Thousands gathered Sunday morning to remember Danvers High School teacher Colleen Ritzer.

The first annual Step Up For Colleen 5K walk and run aimed at raising money for the Colleen Ritzer Scholarship Fund.

Ritzer was murdered October 23, at the age of 24. One of her students, Phillip Chism, has been charged with her murder.

Colleen's family; Tom, Peggie, Laura and Dan released a video message, thanking the community for their support and generous donations to Colleen's scholarship fund.
