Wednesday's Child: 14-Year-Old Nex

BOSTON (CBS) - Nex is a caring and sincere 14-year-boy of Hispanic descent.

He likes working with his hands building with LEGOS, K'Nex construction sets and tinkering with electronics.

In addition, he is a very talented artist and likes to draw, sketch and use modeling clay. He is also just beginning to learn calligraphy.

Always stylish and well-groomed, Nex loves to shop at The Foot Locker and American Eagle.

He likes to wear the colors pink, purple and black. His favorite foods are rice and beans, cheeseburgers, ice cream and Oreo cookies.

In school, Nex has an Individualized Education Plan for support for Language Arts, focus and redirection. His favorite and best subject in school is math. Someday, Nex would like to be an engineer, pro basketball player or an artist.

Legally free for adoption, Nex will need a family who will keep him connected with his siblings. Nex could also be placed in a family with other children and would especially enjoy having brothers.

Because he has had multiple placements, Nex will need a family that can be strong, loving, nurturing, firm and consistent with structure and expectations.

To learn more about Nex, and about adoption from foster care, call the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE) at 617-54-ADOPT (617-542-3678) or visit www.MAREinc.org.

The sooner you call, the sooner a waiting child will have "a permanent place to call HOME."
