Bill Belichick Runs Half Marathon In Nashville

BOSTON (CBS) -- Bill Belichick has had some extra time this offseason thanks to this year's NFL Draft being pushed back a few weeks, and the Patriots head coach made the most of a free weekend on Saturday.

Belichick took a day off from football on Saturday and was in Nashville, Tennessee to run the Nashville Country Music Half Marathon. While New England fans may be disappointed he didn't don his usual cut-off hoodie, the 62-year-old Belichick finished the 13.1 mile race in a respectable 2:36:46, crossing the finish line with his fiancee, Linda Holliday.

Belichick and Holliday both have ties to Nashville (Belichick was born in Nashville while Holliday is a graduate of Vanderbilt University), and Saturday's race was Holliday's first half-marathon.

"It was a great run," Belichick told The Tennessean. "I came out to support Linda in her hometown race for her first half-marathon."

Now that the race is over, Belichick will get back to preparation for the draft, which takes place from May 8-10.
