Wednesday's Child: 6-Year-Old Danny

BOSTON (CBS) -- Danny, 6, is a bright and articulate Caucasian boy who dreams of being a police officer someday.

Although he presents as shy at first, he is inquisitive and likes being engaged in conversation. He is a playful little boy who has a great sense of humor.

Danny keeps busy playing with his action figures, toy cars and trucks, coloring, and making puzzles. He loves all kinds of animals and really enjoys playing outdoors.

Danny likes school and generally gets along well with his kindergarten classmates but prefers the attention of adults. He attaches to people he can trust and does well in a consistent setting.

Danny likes the predictability of his foster home and the one on one attention he receives there. His worker feels that Danny would do well in a one or two parent family where he could be the only or much younger child. He is legally free for adoption.

To learn more about Danny, and about adoption from foster care, call the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE) at 617-54-ADOPT (617-542-3678) or visit www.MAREinc.org.The sooner you call, the sooner a waiting child will have "a permanent place to call HOME."
