BOSTON (CBS) – Some 3,000 Bostonians are gracing the cover of the newest Sports Illustrated magazine issue.
The issue, which marks the one year anniversary of the marathon bombings, hit news stands on Wednesday, the day after the anniversary.
The huge crowd on the cover turned out at the Boston Marathon finish line on Saturday morning to take part in the photo shoot after Sports Illustrated put out a public invitation.
The crowd included bombing survivors, Boston Mayor Marty Walsh, first responders and others who gathered on Boylston Street in a show of resilience.
