Rask, Krejci, Bergeron Picked For Bruins' 3 Stars Of 2013-14 Season

BOSTON, MA – Tuukka Rask, David Krejci and Patrice Bergeron were among the 2013-14 Bruins team award winners that were announced on Saturday.

Rask (First Star), Krejci (Second Star) and Bergeron (Third Star) were named the Bruins Three Stars (top performers at home over the course of the season, chosen by 98.5 The Sports Hub). Brad Marchand was named the recipient of the Eddie Shore Award (exceptional hustle and determination, chosen by the "Gallery Gods"); Krejci was also named the winner of the Elizabeth Dufresne Trophy (outstanding performance during home games, determined by the Boston Chapter of the Professional Hockey Writers Association); Rask was selected for the John P. Bucyk Award (greatest off-ice charitable contributions, chosen by John Bucyk).

Bruins Three Stars:
First Star Tuukka Rask compiled a record of 21-7-3 in 31 home games this season with a home GAA of 1.69 and save percentage of .941. The B's Second Star, David Krejci, accumulated a team-high +30 rating at TD Garden while registering 13 goals and 27 assists for 40 points. Patrice Bergeron, named the Third Star, tallied 14 goals (second on team) and 14 assists (tied for fifth on team) for 28 points (fourth on team) in 40 games on home ice with a +21 rating.

Eddie Shore Award:
Bruins winger Brad Marchand has been selected by the "Gallery Gods" as the Eddie Shore Award winner for demonstrating exceptional hustle and determination throughout the 2014 season. Marchand entered Saturday tied for third on the team in goals (24), sixth in points (50) and tied for seventh in assists (26). The forwards plus-35 rating ranks third on the team and in the NHL.

Elizabeth Dufresne Trophy:
David Krejci has been selected as the Elizabeth Dufresne Trophy recipient for his outstanding performance during Bruins home games this season. In 40 games at TD Garden this year, Krejci has registered 13 goals (third on team) and 27 assists (leads team) for 40 points (leads team). The forward's plus-30 rating in Boston leads all Bruins players.

John P. Bucyk Award:
Tuukka Rask has been an active participant in the Boston Bruins off-ice charitable events throughout the course of the 2013-14 campaign. Rask used many of his rare off days to make a difference in the Greater Boston area, which included visits to The Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center, teaming up with the Boston Bruins Foundation and Make-A-Wish of Massachusetts & Rhode Island which was featured on Behind the B, and donating to the Bruins Annual "Cuts for a Cause" and Bruins Holiday Toy Shopping event.
